We have had a great couple of days (besides the obvious setback) visiting and learning the history of China and some very interesting sites here in Nanchang. Emma is napping right now as Sue and I pack for our trip this evenign to Guangzhou. And yes we have a lot of stuff. We are looking forward to the next leg of the trip as the weather is supposed to be nice (haven't seen the sun in a week) and we will have much more room in the next hotel.
When we get a chance we will provide more updates, pictures and videos from the last couple of days. Be back soon. In the meantime, here is a picture of Emma playing with her stacking cups last night. Who knew stackable cups could be so much fun?!

ReplyDeleteI have been trying to keep up and check in on you all. I have loved all the updates, photos, and videos!! Can't wait to see more.
We are heading to New York today and our flight leaves tomorrow am. We will be in Changsha by 6:15pm on Sunday. I am a bundle of nerves to say the least. Hoping that everything goes smoothly and anxiously awaiting the arrival of Miss Reagan.
Talk to you all soon. Have a safe trip to Guangzhou and enjoy the sunshine~

Hi Joey (and Sue)
ReplyDeleteEmma is just fabulous! How wonderful for you all that you are now a family.
You know, I went with my sister to Changsha in 2004 to pick up her daughter Mia. This blog brings back those memories - good ones, and not so good ones (the smog! the crazy food! the sense of not knowing so much). But Mia is now a georgous happy wonderful 7 year old.
Enjoy every moment. Guanzho is a tiny bit more Western - better food, some shops. Hit the dress shop near the Hotel (Swan?) and buy lots of $1 each dresses for Emma.
Can't wait to read more on the blog.
Fondly,
Tracey
