December

Its the holiday season!  Emma is having a lot of fun so far.  We spent an early Christmas back in RI with the family, a couple of days in Boston, and enjoying some early snow.

Emma helped decorate the tree, and had a little help from Flat Stanley.

Hopefully it will be a white Christmas - the rest of the month is turning out to be white.

She is a natural at snow angels

Worked on our first gingerbread house.  Emma ate about as much as went on the house.

All dressed up to take daddy out for a birthday dinner.

Having dinner in the Northend of Boston.

Kicking around the yard.  Trying to make a snowman, which turned into a snowball fight.

A little attitude - daddy wasn't listening well at dinner :).

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful long weekend (though not completely over yet).  Now time to start preparing for Christmas and our trip back to RI next weekend.  Will try to post some pics as we head into the "season".

A little pose and a smile just before dinner

A little bubbly (i.e. Sprite) to go with dinner

Ask her to "Make a funny face" - and this is what you get.

Taking command of the table, Emma was clearly in charge most of the evening.

Sitting in the "big girl" chair and styling her T-day outfit.

Though he doesn't know it, Emma is reading to her cousin Carter.

Mattie, Carter and Emma posing for a picture (for aunt Sue of course - nobody is looking at me!).

Time to catch up

I know - it has been almost a year since I last posted pictures.  I will try to give you a year in review.  Had to take a bit of a hiatus during the "tantrum phase" :).  We have learned that the terrible twos, are only a precursor for the horrible three's.  But we are past that now (I hope) and you won't see any of those pictures.  Actually, Emma continues to be a happy, fun girl with an incredible sense of humor.  She makes us laugh, and smile and has a knack for making our days special (though there are exceptions).

She is quite the dancer, fortunately she doesn't get that from her dad.  There are videos of her on YouTube under emmajanexia.   I will put a couple up here later.

Hope you enjoy the pics.  I would say I will try to post more often, and I will, but you've heard that before ...

"Lets get this blog started daddy - I am sooooo excited -  woooohoooooo!!!!!!"

Emma and her friend Gracie at Didier Farms.  Yup - she is on the back of a motorcycle - yikes.

She didn't like the idea of being a witch for Halloween, so mom creatively set her up as a Halloween "princess".  Which she fully embraced.  Though we still have to work on the "trick or treat" part (she is a little shy).

We did some actual apple picking this year, which she enjoyed.  Learned how to sample as we picked.

Emma and daddy visited family and friends in RI in September.  We took a ride to Newport for lunch and checked out all the boats.  Fortunately she "doesn't like the BIG ones daddy, I like the small boats".

Dad and Emma stopping for a snack on Banister's Wharf.

Lunch at the Black Pearl.  Finished all of her Chowda and helped with the shrimp!

We managed a number of bike rides this summer in her new seat.  Especially likes the "bumpity bumps" when we ride over the train tracks.

I believe this is the only picture of her at a parade where she is smiling.  Hanging out with Mom at the fourth of July parade.

We made a couple of trips to the zoo, and she got to spend time with her cousin Mattie.  Nice shot of the girls where everyone is smiling.

Bad news is that she likes to ORDER pop.  Good news is she hardly drinks much of it.  If anyone knows someone at Pepsi looking for a model / spokes-toddler - let us know.

Loves her frozen yoghurt.  A frequent stop this summer.

Another fun Irish fest this year.

Didn't use the pool passes as much as we hoped, but had fun when we did.  I think she enjoyed the chair and sun more than the pool, but we'll be working on that.

Latest school picture.  Looking more grown up ...

Being a little goofy.  She does it really well.

Emma chilling out in her room, and enjoying the colors of spring outside her window.

And where I left off last year.  This is Emma just before her birthday party.  And yes, I realize the 4 is not that far away.

Our trip to RI before Christmas last year.  This year she will not have to shut her electronics down prior to take off - yeah!!!  I did discuss with her that all of our flights would not be business class - but I must say she does fit right in...

Thanks for looking and we hope that everyone is doing well.
